Not medical advice, not for emergencies
Updates are short notes from the care team about where a patient is in their stay. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for talking to the doctor. If you think there is an emergency, call 911 or the facility directly. The “urgent, please call me” request goes to a queue the unit works during the shift; it is not an emergency line.
Who may use the family app
- Only people the patient (or a facility-verified guardian) added. Do not share the access code or PIN with anyone else.
- Each person verifies their own phone. Do not join as someone else.
- Access ends 48 hours after discharge. Screenshots and forwards are your responsibility; treat what you read as private.
Who may use the console
Only staff the facility has authorised, under the facility’s policies. Updates must be written for families, in plain words, without results, diagnoses or anything the facility’s medical director has not approved in the templates. Everything posted is attributed to the signed-in staff member and logged.
Text messages
By being added as a contact and completing the phone check, you agree to receive text messages about the patient’s stay at that number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop.
Availability
The service is provided as part of the facility’s agreement with Kinvisit, Inc.. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it; the facility’s usual channels remain the way to reach the care team if the service is down.
